Ferrari: A dream for everybody

On September 16, 2017, Scuderia Ferrari Club Riga, in collaboration with Scuderia Ferrari Club Roma Centro and the Italian Union of Blind and Visually Impaired, organised the very first event of its kind.

It was a day dedicated to the blind and visually impaired, giving an opportunity to feel the thrill of a Ferrari engine from a passenger seat in a Ferrari, taking laps around the Anagni circuit in Italy. The event was definitely a success! Many people attended, and we all had a great time.

More than 110 attendees had the unforgettable experience of riding in a Ferrari. Everyone’s approach, their comments before and after, brought tears to our eyes. What lovely, sensitive and marvellous people! We are proud of having given them a little happiness. They are such an inspiration to all!

The event took a lot of effort, but it was worth it. The videos and photos have beautifully captured the moment, now reminding us of the special place that the day now holds in our hearts. Ferrari and the blind and visually impaired are now good friends.

Ferrari clubs aspire to involve people with disabilities as much as possible and will be working on planning more exciting future events, made available for everyone.

“I’m driving my Ferrari even around the block only, it’s enough for me to just listen to the engine music.” Herbert Von Karajan
