Elis Sernesi was lucky enough to be born in the land of engines and to personally meet Enzo Ferrari, undoubtedly one of the Italians who made Italy most famous in the world by founding a company that is still a world leader in luxury cars and racing, especially Formula 1.

Some argue that luck takes away the pleasure of achievement and can lead to a certain satisfaction that limits ambition and the desire to succeed. This, however, was not the case with Elis. He was a passionate child, became enamored and expressed himself admirably by giving life to a unique creation, lining up all the cars that have followed, from the first one driven by Enzo to the 2024 Formula 1 car.
A great achievement which becomes another way in which the passion for Ferrari has been expressed around the world.

Motors, a record-breaking collection of Ferrari model cars. Elis Sernesi has collected all the Prancing Horse cars that have ever raced in Formula 1 and beyond. From 1917, when the Drake first drove the car, to 2024. By Alessandro Iori on January 13, 2025.

Modena. It's a unique collection, certainly. But it's also, in its own way, a treatise on history. The history of the automobile and, with it, of industry and society. The vivid image of evolution and progress. We're talking about Elis Sernesi's unique and unrepeatable collection: over 130 1:45 scale Ferrari models. All those that have participated in the Formula 1 World Championships from 1950 to the present, as well as the previous cars produced or driven by the Drake. Starting with a Cesar with which Enzo Ferrari was portrayed in a photo that later became a postcard in the center of Pavullo in 1917: according to official documents, it was the first car driven by the future owner of the most famous racing team in the world.

A story told through images, the one told by the Sernesi collection. It also reminds us of the origins of the Prancing Horse: a battle symbol on the fuselage of aviator Francesco Baracca, who died during the First World War, it was donated to Ferrari by Baracca's mother after the Drake's victory at the Circuito del Savio in 1923.
Just one of the stories that could be explored starting from the Sernesi collection.

“I have created a collection of 1:45 scale models that chronicle the life of Enzo Ferrari and his cars, which he drove as a driver, then as a racing manager and finally as a manufacturer. I like to call it an educational collection because, in addition to having a strong visual impact, the over 100 models, arranged as if on a starting grid, immediately convey a chronological sense of history, with the cars' clear evolution over time. The 9 meter long display case highlights and recounts Enzo Ferrari's true motoring history, plus another 1 x 1 meter display case. With the curiosities that marked the uniqueness of this man, his team and his cars, creating an unparalleled legend.” Elis Sernesi
